WIFTI

WOMEN IN FILM AND TELEVISION INTERNATIONAL
presented the first
SHORT FILM SHOWCASE
In celebration of International Women's Day

WEDNESDAY MARCH 8, 2006
Regal Cinemas Stadium 16 at Atlantic Station

Women in Film and Television Atlanta presented ten short films by today's women filmmakers from around the world, including the Oscar-Winning Short WASP, as well as selected films from across Georgia and the Southeast.

WIFTA was very encouraged by the number of submissions from local female directors, producers, writers and cinematographers. This once again demonstrated that Atlanta has a strong female filmmaking community.

Special Guest Speaker, Rita Owens, publisher of Atlanta Woman Magazine, made inspiring opening remarks. And everyone enjoyed the cocktail reception at the FOX Sports Grill where our own musical artist, Kitty Sias, performed.

Members also include individuals, corporations and other organizations interested in supporting and promoting the creativity and skills that women bring to the film, television, and video industry.

Each chapter of Women in Film and Television International (WIFTI) is run independently; however, each member of WIFTA is automatically a member of WIFTI. Therefore, WIFTA members are encouraged to take advantage of all that WIFTI has to offer.

Through our participation in the WIFTI Directory, we have access to worldwide resources, and we can provide resources to those international members planning their project or film in Atlanta. WIFTI also provides access to international programs such as "Producing in Latin America."
