My passion for fitness, active living and leading a healthy lifestyle, along with my dedication to helping others has made a career in Personal Training and Lifestyle Management an obvious choice.I have been involved in the fitness industry for almost 20 years. My passion has taken me from physiotherapy assistant work, athletic therapy, personal training of elite athletes and managing teams of Personal Trainers in two of Canada’s largest Health and Fitness clubs to my dream of being a Studio owner and operator. I train because I love to, and I will make you love to also.I am a former commercial health club Personal Trainer and Personal Training Director, having trained and managed at 2 large Health Clubs in Toronto and Ottawa, ON. My many years of experience in the Health Club industry have taught me the importance of developing a non-intimidating, non-crowded, professional environment to train in.I currently instruct and certify Personal Training candidates through canfitpro (Canadian Fitness Professionals Inc.) and have taught Fitness and Wellness for the Police Foundations Program and the Canadian Armed Forces at Algonquin College. I am also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, with one of the top certifying bodies in the world, The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). In 2014, I created and launched The ACTIVATE  Fitness Summit and Consumer Expo – an exciting motivational and educational event for fitness professionals and enthusiasts. I believe in the importance of proper education for Personal Trainers and passionate about learning. I believe in optimizing workouts and making your workout time more valuable. Teaching proper form, technique and safety, along with motivation and fun, and of course getting results, are skills I possess as a Professional Personal Trainer. I will help you reach your full potential, to be the best you want to be, both physically and mentally. I thrive on helping others attain their personal goals through individualized and group programs, and to see the joy and satisfaction once goals are accomplished and surpassed. After growing up in Ottawa, I moved to Toronto where I expanded my career as a Personal Trainer, gaining a variety of experience in training for general fitness to fitness testing of NHL athletes. I have had much success in the development of strength, endurance, weight loss, muscle mass gain, flexibility and postural improvements, and have helped many people accomplish things they never thought were possible. I love to help people create healthy lifestyles and fit bodies, one body at a time! Connie is a provider of education for Ottawa’s CTV Morning “Today’s the Day” segments with Lianne Laing.
