These Improv Skills Can Make You A Better Personal Trainer

Mindy McHale creates safe spaces for women where they can become stronger. She is a certified personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise, an experienced group fitness instructor and the owner of StrongerNow, a women-focused wellness community.

 

Mindy believes that women experience true power when they release themselves from the societal pressure to be smaller, and, instead, discover and develop their physical strength. She also knows that women can feel intimidated in traditional fitness settings and that a womens-only community can help them feel safe and confident when working out.

 

In her studio, Mindy offers personal training, small group fitness classes and workshops. She also collaborates with other women professionals on events that help women become stronger in all areas of their lives. She publishes a regular newsletter, StrongerNow Connects, which contains information to alleviate the stress women experience when it comes to exercise and eating. 

 

Mindy regularly performs improv comedy in her free time. Her improv skills aren't just for the stage though. Mindy uses improv to build trust with her clients, and to help her clients learn to trust their own bodies. She has had such great success with this process that she is beginning to share her techniques with other fitness professionals.
