A 50+ year old female-founded, international fitness company spanning 3 generations, and providing women of all ages and backgrounds opportunities for growth? We love to see it.

Founded by Judi Sheppard Missett in 1968, Jazzercise is "a combination of aerobic exercise, HIIT cardio, and dance fitness safe and effective for all ages and fitness levels." Not to mention an iconic fitness brand.

We all know that fitness trends come and go, so how has Jazzercise withstood the test of time?

According to Shanna Nelson, Judi's daughter and current Jazzercize president, while they have stayed true to their dance roots, they have also adapted and adjusted their methods as fitness and exercise sciences have evolved.

In 2018, we were °â˜†•jazzed•â˜†° (see what we did there? ðŸ˜) to host a WIFA reception where we honored founding mothers in the fitness industry. Judi was kind enough to grace us with her presence. Her energy and passion for fitness was contagious.

The pandemic hasn't been easy on any fitness business, Jazzercise included, but with Judi's grand-daughter Skyla joining the family business, and a successful implementation of Jazzercise on Demand, we think it's safe to say they've learned to roll with the punches and aren't going anywhere anytime soon.
